Events Coordinator Karen Hafner Named Main Street Director

Oskaloosa has been a Main Street District for almost 30 years. Iowa’s Main Street organization is committed to revitalizing historic commercial districts. They offer many services to communities in making good decisions within their districts. Karen Hafner was recently named the Main Street Director. Karen said, “I plan on using the Main Street services to help promote Oskaloosa with the focus on economic development potential, social activities and community pride.”
“We are in the process of revitalizing our committees within Oskaloosa Main Street. We are looking for volunteers who would like to be involved in our committees to better Oskaloosa.” Main Street consists of four committees which include Business Improvement, Promotions, Organization and Design. The Business Improvement, Organization and Promotions Committee are looking for anyone who would like to share ideas and help promote Oskaloosa.
