Election Day Reminders
Tomorrow is the day that many of us have been waiting for. Tomorrow is election day. We here at Osky News would like to post some reminders for the election including everything that you will have the chance to vote for tomorrow.
- The Polls are open from 7 am to 9 pm. Note: If you are in line to vote at 9 pm, you STILL can vote.
- All absentee ballots MUST be returned by the end of the day TODAY.
- Residents will be able to vote for: US Senator, US Representative (3rd district), Iowa Governor, Iowa Secretary of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Iowa Attorney General, State Representative (district 75 or 72), County Treasurer, County Supervisor
- At the close of the polls, the courthouse will be open for residents to come in and see the final results as they come in
- If you have any questions as to where you polling place is, please contact the Mahaska County Auditor’s Office or go to the Secretary of State’s website.
Osky News will be at the courthouse to view the results as they come in. We will be updating our twitter feed live as more results come in and we will also have an election night scrolling banner across the top of the website. We will only project a candidate to be the winner if 75% of the precincts are reporting and that candidate is winning by at least 4%. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@oskynews.org
