“We started off slow in the morning, but came alive to beat Centerville and Burlington. We served very tough in both those matches and controlled the ball to execute the offense well. EB was 2nd out of pool play. Bracket play consisted of playing Ottumwa who was 1st out of their pool. We played very well and I am proud of what we did in that match. That was probably our best play of the season against a sold Ottumwa team. Our girls have a lot of talent and hopefully the girls will take what they did in that match and build upon that success. They are improving in many aspects of the game and we will continue to work on the intensity it takes to be successful. We play a tough on the road match Tuesday night against Davis County for a huge SCC matchup. The girls will be ready to take on the challenge. They will need to keep the focus and work hard for every point. It is always a challenge to play in that gym, but some of them have had the opportunity to experience that atmosphere. It will take a team effort to get past an improved Davis County team this year.”
