EBF Jazz Band Places 2nd at Indianola

On Saturday February 18th, the EBFHS Jazz Band placed 2nd at the Indianola Jazz Encounter. The band outscored 4 other bands in class 2A. Several students were honored with Outstanding Soloist Awards: Samantha Claypool; alto sax, Riley Arnold; alto sax, Heath Rice; trombone, Emma Haselhuhn; tenor sax, Jessica Jones; Piano, and Nate McGinnis; drums. The Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Jazz Band will compete this Saturday at the Indian Hills Jazzfest at 9:15. Next Saturday the band will compete at the SEIBA District Jazz Festival in Iowa City.
