Dutch men host home wrestling tournament to kick off 2026

PELLA – The reserves of the Central College men’s wrestling tournament got the new year started as the program hosted its annual Under Armour Invitational Saturday.

No team scores were kept amongst the 13 schools in attendance. There was a gold and silver bracket for each of the 10 weight classes. None of Central’s primary starters were competing.

Central topped a pair of silver brackets as Lukas Spaur (junior, Knoxville went 4-0 at 141 pounds and Ryan Rainey (freshman, Arlington, Texas, James Martin HS) was 3-0 at 197.

Curtis Schott (junior, Coggon, North Linn HS) and Jamal Neeway (freshman, Waukee, Northwest HS) also advanced to championship bouts at Silver 165 and 285, respectively. Both wrestlers dropped the final.
Kevin Hogan (senior, Monee, Peotone HS) was Central’s top finisher in a Gold bracket, earning fourth place at 65 pounds. Nathan Rosas (senior, Harvard, Ill.) added a third-place finish at Silver 184.

The Dutch are set to compete next weekend at the NWCA Multi-Level National Duals in Cedar Falls. Brackets for that event have not yet been released.
