Obituary:
Donna Marie (Coady) Clarke was born August 22, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Bill and Thelma Neoma (Johnson) Coady.
She was raised in Des Moines and attended Jefferson Elementary and Lincoln High School. On December 31, 1948 she was united in marriage to Thomas Lee Roy Clarke in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple lived in California until moving back to Des Moines in 1967. In 1977 they moved to Flagler and in 1991 to Knoxville. Donna was a key-punch operator for Northip Aircraft in California and was a payroll clerk at the Knoxville V.A. Hospital for several years prior to retirement.
In her spare time, Donna enjoyed reading, sewing, flowers, card games, and traveling to casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Donna was very proud of her family and always encouraged and supported them in life.
Donna passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 9 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Smith; brothers, Bill Coady, Jr. and Jim Coady and her son, Bruce Coady Clarke.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband of 62 years, Tom; children: Thomas Lee Roy Clarke, Jr. (Joyce) of Knoxville; Cindy Kay Marshall (Russ) of King William, VA; Randy Ray Clarke (Linda) of Knoxville; Carol Marie Reed of Knoxville and Brian Coady Clarke (Erin) of Knoxville; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
