David Simpson

Montezuma. David Lee Simpson, 57, of Montezuma died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

David was born on February 5, 1953 at Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Warren Lloyd Simpson and Evelyn Opal Bell Simpson. He was a 1971 graduate of the Montezuma Community Schools. David then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served as a clerk. After his military service, he returned to Montezuma where he worked at various construction jobs. He enjoyed fishing with his brother.

In 1974, David and Nancy Aggson of North English were married. To this union their daughter Stacie was born.

David is survived by his daughter, Stacie Simpson, of North English, Iowa, and his grandson Tyler Walters. Also, his brothers Melvin Simpson of Victor and Charles Simpson of Taiwan.

David is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Roger Simpson.

David was cremated and his burial will take place at a later date.
