Body Found in Submerged Vehicle in Des Moines River

A submerged vehicle, initially spotted by an individual boating in the area, was retrieved in a joint operation involving the Sheriff's Office, Ottumwa Fire, and Deran's Towing and Recovery. Inside, authorities found the body of a deceased male, whose identity has yet to be disclosed. The case is currently under investigation, and the body has been sent to the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner for further examination.
