The Iowa General Assembly was in session today. In the afternoon session of the house, two new bills were introduced. HF 334, An Act expanding the definition of alternate energy production facility for purposes of compliance with electric utility rate regulation requirements, was introduced by Representative Wagner. HF 338, An Act relating to the criminal offense of homicide by vehicle and making penalties applicable,was introduced by Representative Kaufmann. The house also passed HF 45, An Act relating to public funding and regulatory matters and making, reducing, and transferring appropriations and revising fund amounts and including effective, retroactive, and other applicability date provisions, and making penalties applicable, as amended on a 95-0 vote.
In the afternoon session of the Senate, the senate received 3 bills referred from the calendar committee.
The House and Senate will be in session tomorrow with the Senate convening at 8:30 am and theĀ Senate convening at 9:00 am.
