New York City, N.Y.–The professional career of former William Penn track and field athlete Katie Burnett continues to be impressive as she competed at the prestigious Millrose Games over the weekend.

Burnett, who was a six-time NAIA All-American race walker, claimed runner-up honors in the USATF National Championship Mile Walk event in a time of 7:19.47. Lauren Forgues won the title in a time of 6:48.62. Burnett finished sixth at last year’s Millrose Games, bettering that time by more than 11 seconds in Saturday’s 12-person race.
