Breeher Named MCC Libero of the Week

William Penn Women’s Athletics

Oskaloosa–A strong defensive showing by Danielle Breeher (Fr., St. Louis, Mo., Undecided) netted her Midwest Collegiate Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week honors today.

A first-time honoree, Breeher has been instrumental in William Penn (18-6) posting an eight-game winning streak. She helped the navy and gold to a pair of wins last week, slipping past league foe St. Ambrose and then sweeping Ashford in non-conference play.

Breeher managed 25 digs against the Queen Bees and then had another 24 versus the Saints. She also committed just one reception error during the week (29 attempts).

For the year, the freshman has a team-high 376 digs in addition to two kills, six assists, and 13 aces.

It is the third honor for the program in 2012 and is the first defensive specialist accolade for the navy and gold since November 2010.
