Little League has begun playing All Star games at the Lacey Recreation Complex this week. Nine 11-12 baseball All Star teams from throughout District 4 will complete with one another throughout July in pool play games to determine the team that will go to the state tournament. Each team will complete against one another in their age division, playing eight games each. Saturday night over one hundred friends and family came to cheer the Mahaska American and Lynnville-Sully Little League teams at the complex. The game ended in a win for Mahaska American with a score of 3 to 2. The 9-10 baseball All Stars begin play on Monday, July 2. The 11-12 and 9-10 softball All Stars are also competing for the right to advance to the state tournament, which for these softball divisions will also be held at the Lacey Recreation Complex, in mid-July.
