Absentee Votes For June 5th Primary May Be Cast Beginning May 7
Absentee votes for the June 5th Primary Election may be cast at the Auditor’s Office, Mahaska County Courthouse, 106 South 1st Street, Oskaloosa, beginning May 7 through Monday, June 4th or by mail. The Auditor’s Office will be open Saturday, June 2nd, 9:00 a.m. –5:00 p.m. Mailed voted absentee ballots must be postmarked by Monday, June 4th. The last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed is Friday, May 25, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. After this date, the voter MUST come into the Auditor’s Office to vote absentee.
ID is required for all absentee ballots, voting in person and receiving the absentee ballot by mail. Beginning January 1, 2018, voters requesting absentee ballots will be required to include their driver’s license or non-operator ID number on their request form. Voters without an Iowa Driver’s License or Non-Operator ID should have received an Iowa Voter Identification Card and will be required to include their card’s four-digit PIN number on the absentee ballot request form.
