de Villiers Notches Second Scholar-Athlete Award
Oskaloosa–Adriaan de Villiers (Sr., Akasia, South Africa) was honored for his excellence in the classroom as he was named a 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete.
de Villiers, now a two-time honoree, owns a 3.90 Grade Point Average in industrial technology. The NAIA announced that 111 men’s golfers were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
