Green’s Qualification Earns Junior Yet Another Award

Oskaloosa–Gabriel Green (Jr., Anniston, Ala., Anniston HS) is a perfect 2-for-2 as he was again named Midwest Collegiate Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Green, also an MCC AOW on December 13, qualified for NAIA Nationals in the 200-meter dash with a ‘B’ standard of 22.25 seconds at the Dubuque Sol Butler Classic Saturday. He was also a member of the 4×400-meter relay team that placed fourth in a time of 3:32.57.

The junior, who has qualified for nationals in the 60 as well, tops the MCC in both events. He is ranked third nationally in the 200 and 11th in the 60. He will be seeking his third-consecutive league crown in the 200 and 400 in February.

The award is the seventh of Green’s career and is the second for the track and field program this year.
