This training program aims to train food service professionals about industry standards and their obligation to meet them,” said Barbara Anderson, ISUE Family Nutrition and Health Program Specialist.

The program is based on the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s ServSafe™ certification program and the 2005 Iowa Food Code. Participants will receive a copy of the ServSafe™ Essentials training manual and have the option of testing for ServSafe™ certification. Registration fee is $135.00. Fee for National Restaurant Association members will be $100.00 with proof of membership. Registration is due May 4th. The fee for service will be used to offset direct expenses and support the Families County Extension Program.
