Volunteers help out at the Lacey complex

Carl Drost ready to develop a new lot at the Lacey Complex!

Carl Drost volunteers his time and equipment to help develop an additional parking lot at the Lacey Recreation Soccer fields. The lot is being developed just south of the U14 soccer fields and will add 175 spaces for parking this season. Carl Drost has graded and prepped the surface for gravel. Rock will be brought in and added to complete the lot. The plan is to have the lot completed by the first games at Lacey Recreation Complex to be held April 16th, 2011. Volunteers for the Mahaska County Soccer club have spent over 50 hours preparing the fields for upcoming games. “Should be a great season of soccer,” says Sherry, Executive Director of MCRF. “We are looking forward to it!”
