Investigation Ongoing Into New Sharon Burglaries

New Sharon, Iowa – The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the New Sharon Police Department with the investigation.

In a statement, the New Sharon Police Department release says that approximately 20 vehicles were burglarized on Saturday night into Sunday morning.

“We are encouraging everyone to keep vehicles locked and keep valuables inside of vehicles out of view,” says the release.

Mahaska County Sheriff Russ Van Renterghem says there are a couple of people of interest in the case, but the investigation is ongoing.
