#11 for William Penn in Ninth Ranking

Oskaloosa–Despite giving up the highest poll position of any league team, the Statesmen men’s basketball team only dropped one rung as the NAIA’s ninth Division I rating was released Tuesday.

The Statesmen (22-6, 15-5 Heart) are now #11 with 145 points. Fellow Heart of America Athletic Conference foe MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) has become the league’s highest squad at #10, while Peru State (Neb.) is again 18th.

LSU Alexandria remains #1 with 219 points and all nine first-place votes. Georgetown (Ky.) is second, Talladega (Ala.) and Texas Wesleyan are tied for third, and Hope International (Calif.) is fifth.

William Penn travels to Fayette, Mo. Wednesday to face Central Methodist in Heart of America Athletic Conference action at 7:30 p.m.
