YOUNG AMBASSADORS VOTING BEGINS

Oskaloosa Area Chamber and Development Group

Voting for the Main Street Young Ambassador Contest has begun. Local children ages three through kindergarten are seeking monetary votes to become this year’s Young Ambassadors.

Local merchants who are sponsoring the children have banks with the name and picture of the child. Money placed in the canister of your choice is considered votes. (Any amount of money may be deposited.) The boy and girl with the most votes will be crowned this year’s Young Ambassadors of Oskaloosa. Voting will take place beginning Thursday, November 1st and ending Monday morning, November 26. No money will be accepted after 11 am on November 26. This year a portion of the proceeds will go to Little Creations – Methodist Church, gifts for contestants, with the balance to defray costs of the Lighted Christmas Parade.

The winners will be announced Monday, November 26th at 6:00 p.m. in a gala event at Center Court, Penn Central Mall.

All participants of the Young Ambassadors Contest will receive prizes and are invited to help spread the magic of Christmas by riding the Clow Train in the Lighted Christmas Parade—Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Thursday November 29.

Show your support by voting for these youngsters. For candidate and sponsor location, call the Oskaloosa Area Chamber & Development Group at 641-672-2591.
