YMCA Dolphins Compete at Regional Swim Meet

Oskaloosa, April 6, 2012 – The Mahaska County YMCA Dolphins completed a superb 2011-2012 season with the Regional Swim Meet held in Minneapolis, MN, on March 31 and April 1. The Dolphins sent 19 swimmers from the 2011-2012 squad to the event. The competition included 75 teams from 9 different states, accounting for over 1200 swimmers over the course of the two days.
YMCA Swim Team Coach Wade Bolibaugh said, “The 2011-2012 Dolphins Swim Team had a record-breaking year in terms of both participation and performances. With 75 youth YMCA members on Swim Team, and a number of team records broken over the course of the season, this year has been one of, if not the, most successful seasons in the history of the Dolphins. Without the dedication each of these Swim Team members has shown throughout the year, the Dolphins would not have been able to achieve as much as they have.”
The Mahaska County YMCA and the Dolphins Swim Team would like to thank all the Swim Team members, families, volunteers and coaches that have enabled the program to excel over the course of the season.
