Wrestling Entertainment coming to Bradbury Hall
Central Empire Wrestling visits Bradbury Hall December 11th at 7:30 pm
Nelson Pioneer Farms Bradbury Hall will play host to Saturday night’s Central Empire Wrestling and their guests for a night of family friendly entertainment.
I caught up with Promoter Austin Bayliss yesterday and asked him about the upcoming event.
Bayliss, wrestler turned promoter, got into wrestling in 2004 when he started training for his first event in Hedrick. He can remember his first event that he promoted while still in high school. Bayliss, a Keota Iowa native, held his first event at West Chester, a small town just East of Keota. The turnout was great for a first event with 250 to 300 people in attendance. Bayliss was hooked.
As with all businesses, the beginning is rough. Bayliss used his graduation money to buy a wrestling ring and the other equipment needed in order to put on a show. But did we mention he didn’t have a trailer yet to haul the equipment? So he did as all young and new business owners do, he improvised. A hayrack was called into service, and what is normally a 10 minute drive turned into 50 minutes.

Bayliss has strong ties to Oskaloosa now as he is now a student at William Penn University.
Wrestling star Scotty 2 Hotty and many of the CEW crew will be serving breakfast at Bradbury Hall from 8 am to 11 am with a $5 suggested donation to help the Lions Club of Oskaloosa raise funds.
They will also be holding a day wrestling camp. The camp starts at 12:30 and goes until 5:30 with a cost of $50.00.
1st and 2nd row ticket holders are included in an exclusive pre-show Meet and Greet at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets are still available today at Summer’s Car Credit and Doty’s. General Admission tickets are $10.00. Tickets at the door are $15.00. 1st and 2nd row tickets are already sold out. Doors open at 6:45 and the show is set to start at 7:30.
Summer’s Car Credit has 18 tickets left and are open til 6:00 p.m. today and from 9:00 a.m. til 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Doty’s has 20 tickets left. They are open until 5:00 p.m. today and closed on Saturday.
Former WWE Super Star Scotty 2 Hotty takes on Al Snow, also a former WWE star, during the evenings event as well.
The line-up also includes: Evan Jordan, Brian Gott, Angelus Layne Chief, Stephen Stonebreaker and more.
