Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s golf team has not done much to hurt its cause, but other programs might be playing just a bit better as the NAIA’s fourth top-25 poll was released last Friday.

William Penn fell one rung since the last rating to #17 with 247 points. The crew remains the only representatives from the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the poll.

Keiser (Fla.) is still a unanimous #1 with 498 points and all 18 first-place votes. SCAD Savannah (Ga.) is second, while William Carey (Miss.) and Dalton State (Ga.) are second and third, respectively. British Columbia and Cumberlands (Ky.) are tied for fifth.

William Penn is in fourth place after the first day of action at the Southern Illinois Saluki Invitational in Carbondale, Ill. The event concludes Monday.
