Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s cross country team collected recognition Thursday as it was named a USTFCCCA all-academic team.
The squad, headed by Sean Gosewisch, owned a 3.02 Grade Point Average. To be eligible for the award, a team must own a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher.
A very young team with four freshmen, one sophomore, and one junior, WPU placed 11th out of 12 squads at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships last fall.
