ThorSport Racing Kicks Off Truck Series Playoffs at Darlington with Four-Truck Lineup
Prepares for Darlington
The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series returns to the historic Darlington Raceway this weekend for the Sober or Slammer 200, the opening race of the 2025 Truck Series Playoffs. Four ThorSport Racing drivers will take on the “Track Too Tough to Tame,” each entering with different storylines but a shared goal of strong results.
Ben Rhodes – No. 99 FarmPaint.com Ford F-150
While Rhodes will miss the postseason in 2025, the former series champion still has seven races left to chase victory. Darlington has historically been a strong track for the No. 99 team—Rhodes started 12th and finished third here last year. With proven speed on tough tracks, expect Rhodes to remain a factor at the front.
Ty Majeski – No. 98 Soda Sense Ford F-150
Majeski begins the playoffs at a track where he nearly claimed victory in 2024, leading late before a caution altered the outcome. He still came away with a fifth-place finish and enters Darlington with confidence after six career wins and 1,559 laps led. With two stage wins at Darlington last season, Majeski and the No. 98 team are poised to contend for a strong postseason start.
Matt Crafton – No. 88 Menards/Denali Aire Ford F-150
Crafton heads to Darlington making his first start since announcing he will step away from full-time Truck Series competition. The three-time champion’s veteran presence will be a key asset for ThorSport Racing as the playoffs begin. Though his 2024 Darlington run ended in 31st, Crafton has a career full of success, including 15 wins and more than 2,700 laps led.
Jake Garcia – No. 13 Quanta Services Ford F-150
After a strong Richmond finish, Garcia clinched his first career playoff berth in 2025 as the 10th seed. The 19-year-old enters Darlington looking to gain stage points and build momentum in his debut postseason campaign. Garcia finished 20th at Darlington in 2024 but has shown steady growth with 19 career top-10s and two poles already to his name.
As the ThorSport Racing stable heads to Darlington, the blend of experience from veterans and the hunger of young talent sets the stage for a competitive night under the lights in the Sober or Slammer 200.
