The Smell Of Garlic Has Disappeared From The Mall

The only indication for the public was this printed sign at Napoli's stating, "We are Closed" and thanking people for their patronage on Wednesday morning.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The only thing new you will find at the Napoli’s location in Penn Central Mall is a printed note saying thanks for the patronage.

“They were here Sunday,” Ryan said. She said she thought the restaurant had closed around 3 pm Sunday afternoon and they had been closed for holidays before, so no one gave it a second thought when the establishment wasn’t open on Monday. By Tuesday, people had just assumed that they were running late in returning back to the restaurant.

Penn Central Mall Manager Patti Ryan said that they are currently unable to confirm anything with the owners of Napoli’s about their plans for the Oskaloosa location and, until they know more, are unable to comment further other than to say, “We were as surprised by it as the public.”

The restaurant was opened near the end of November with open arms by the community and the mall management.
