OSKALOOSA, IA — Think colossal. Then think beyond that. The Lowe Family, formerly based in Branson, is hitting the George Daily Auditorium in Oskaloosa on Thursday, April 26th at 7:30 p.m. The Oskaloosa High School Chamber Choir will open for this professional show, singing selections like “William Tell Overture,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Water Night,” and others. The choir will also participate in an educational master class with the Lowe Family.

The Lowe Family has entertained hundreds of thousands around the world for over 25 years and appeared on ABC, CBS, PBS, Time-Warner, and other stations worldwide. Most recently, the Lowe Family performed with the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir and orchestra.

All seven of the Lowe siblings began studying and performing music from a very young age. Then additional instruments, dance classes and vocal lessons were added – now, these nine Lowes are versatile on many instruments. They offer a blend of styles, including classical, Broadway, Irish, jazz, bluegrass, old-time favorites, 20s, 40s, 60s, gospel, spectacular dance, 6-part harmony, a patriotic tribute and more.

“The musical capabilities of the entire family are amazing. They have honed their skills so that they can perform any type of music – and do it with exceptional skill,” said Cincinnati Post writer Johnnie Wolfe.

Ric Wilson, an Oskaloosa artist, is currently displaying his collection “Answering Picasso” in the lobby of the George Daily Auditorium. The collection is a series of bold, abstract guitars done in his signature style with a touch of American regionalism. Also new to the Daily exhibit are three paintings from the FACE (Fine Arts and Cultural Events of Mahaska County) permanent collection.

The performance runs approximately two hours with an intermission. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students and are available through the George Daily box office at (641) 672-0799 or online
