Tassel Ridge holds Festive Holiday Reception
Tassel Ridge held a fun holiday wine tasting event on Thursday, December 9th. Their staff was on hand to help recommend the perfect wine for your tastes. They have great experience at helping people find out which products are best suited for the individual consumer.
Tassel Ridge Winery’s manager Derek Whittingteon said that on a nice night like last night was, it is not uncommon to have around 100 people visiting.
Whittingteon says the average cost of a bottle of Tassel Ridge Wine will be between $11.00 and $20.00 with an average being $13.00 for some of their most popular ones. Red White and Blue is by far their most popular wine.
With wonderful food samples, and samples of their great selection of wines there were many happy faces at their Leighton location. Tassel Ridge has some event happening about once a month with the wine tasting, and it gives an opportunity for others to come check out their other fine products such as sauces and their gift shop.
Tassel Ridge has been open for over 4 years now. They started the planning and studying process back in 1999, planting their first grapes back in 2002. They have planted more grapes each year as they have learned their craft. The site for the winery was purchased in 2003 with construction in 2004. They now have 4 vineyards, 3 of them in Oskaloosa and the 4th at the winery location. They currently serve 345 retailers in Iowa.
Their wine tasting events give them an opportunity to help those interested to learn the wide range of wines from whites to reds and dry to sweet at their location. The winery is open Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m. for your tasting and shopping pleasure all year round. Tours are also available. You can find out more information by either calling them at (641) 672-WINE (9463) or visiting their website http://www.tasselridge.com/index.htm
