Lamoni–The William Penn wrestling team could not come out on top in some tight middle-weight matchups as it dropped a 25-21 Heart of America Athletic Conference dual meet to Graceland Tuesday.

WPU (1-4, 0-2 Heart) opened the evening with the early 6-0 lead as John Altieri (Jr., Warwick, R.I., Sociology) was awarded a forfeit at 125 pounds.

Unfortunately, the next six matches went to the Yellowjackets (4-2), but three (141, 149, 174) were toss-ups that were decided by six points of less.

Jay Fresh (Grad., Knoxville, Iowa, MBL), who is currently serving as a graduate assistant coach, came out retirement Tuesday with a 10-6 victory over Jonathon Juarez at 184 pounds.

197-pounder Cody Jones (So., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Biology) and 285-pounder Will Wan (So., Des Moines, Iowa, Sociology) ended the dual by earning forfeits.
