Statesmen End Year at #13

Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s lacrosse team wrapped up its best season yet by finishing just outside the top 10 as the NAIA released its postseason poll Wednesday.

WPU (11-5, 7-3 KCAC) ends its third campaign at #13 with 18 points.

The navy and gold are one of five programs from the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference in the poll. St. Ambrose tops the quintet at #6, while Benedictine is #7. Ottawa (Kan.), at #11, and Columbia, at #14, join WPU in the receiving votes section.

Reinhardt (Ga.), which won the national title last weekend, is #1 with 66 points and all six first-place votes. National runner-up Indiana Tech is #2, while Cumberlands (Ky.), Aquinas (Mich.), and Tennessee Wesleyan round out the top five.
