Springer Nets Scholar-Athlete Honor

Oskaloosa–Katie Springer (Jr., Riverside, Iowa) was honored for her excellence in the classroom as she was named a 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athlete Wednesday.
Springer, a first-time recipient, entered the spring semester with a 3.52 Grade Point Average in Psychology and Human Services. A total of 466 softball players from within the NAIA were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
