Charles Thomas “Chuck” Sharp, Jr., age 44 of Fairfield passed away at his home Sunday, April 1, 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends and relatives from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel Reverend Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Cremation will follow the service and interment of the cremated remains will be at a later date. Chuck was born March 13, 1968 in Fairfield, Iowa the son of Charles Thomas Sr. and Judy Paulette Paxton Sharp. He graduated from Pekin Community High School with the class of 1986. Chuck was united in marriage to Sonya Conger July 4, 1987 at the Ollie Baptist Church in Ollie, Iowa. He was employed by Louis Rich in Sigourney, Kaiser Rock in Ollie, and for the last 16 years was working for the Jefferson County Road Department in Fairfield. Chuck enjoyed riding his Harley- Davidson, mushroom hunting and NASCAR. He was a H.O.G. member, and a member of the Ollie Baptist Church. Chuck is survived by his wife, Sonya, a son Kyle both of Fairfield, his parents Charles Thomas Sharp, Sr., and Judy of Ollie, a brother Tony Sharp of Knoxville, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dick and Margaret Conger of Ollie, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter Tiffany Renee Sharp in 1994, his maternal grandparents Ed and Velma Paxton and his paternal grandparents Charles and Susie Sharp.
