Sandra Rogers, 64 of New Sharon passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at her home in New Sharon. Memorial services will begin at 10:00 am Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family’s name. Friends may send condolences or sign the online guestbook at www.hardenfuneralhomes.com. Harden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Kay Rogers, daughter of Alfred and Hattie “Pat” (Patten) Pollock was born on October 24, 1946 in Brooklyn, Iowa. She attended Brooklyn School. Sandra married Jerry Dean Mitchell and they were later divorced. She then was married to Lanny Roy “Lance” Rogers. Sandra was a hard worker. She worked as a waitress, bartender and in the meat packing plant in Sigourney. Sandra took pride in helping her neighbors at Prairie Homes by taking them medicine, visiting with them or whatever they needed her to do. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing bingo and gardening. She loved her flowers and animals.

Her memory is honored by her children, Jody Tuley of Chariton, Tracy Stump of Pella, Stacy DeReus of Pella, Deseiri Scholtus of Fremont and Jay Dee Mitchell of Rose Hill; two brothers, Dennis Lee Pollock of Benton and Jim Milligan of Lynnville; her sister, Tammy Russell of New Sharon; 31 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Hattie Pollock; two husbands, Jerry Dean Mitchell and Lance Rogers and one son, Michael Pollock.
