Rural Pella Man Dies As Result Of Tractor Fire

On Wednesday, October 31st, at approximately 3:15 pm. members of the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, New Sharon Fire Department and the Pella Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to 1476 Eaton Avenue, in rural Pella, regarding a farm tractor fire.

Upon emergency responders arrival, it was discovered that the operator of the tractor was deceased. The preliminary investigation into this death indicated that it was a result of a farming accident and no foul play is suspected.

The deceased subject was identified as 33-year-old Joshua Kyle Wooldridge of 1476 Eaton Avenue. Woodridge’s body has been sent to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny where an autopsy is scheduled for later this day. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
