Ralph Eugene Conger was born October 9, 1951 in Pekin, Iowa the son of Woodrow and Wanda Van Orsdall Conger. He attended Ollie Consolidated School. He was united in marriage to Colleen Eklofe, February 14, 1993 in Mahaska County, Iowa. Ralph worked on the railroad for 23 years. He also worked construction for Don Knotts in Ottumwa for approximately 7 years. He was employed by West Liberty Foods in Sigourney until they closed in 2009. He was most recently employed by Pekin School from 2009 until the time of his passing. He enjoyed hunting deer, raccoon, turkey, and fishing, shed hunting, mushroom hunting, gardening and took great pride in his yard. He was noted for always having a perfect yard. He is survived by his wife, Colleen of Ollie, his mother Wanda Conger of Sigourney, his children; Sasha Conger of Ollie, Troy (April) Conger of Hedrick, Andy (Stephanie) Conger of Packwood, Shawna Walker of Packwood and Sam (Becky) Conger of Ollie, 13 grandchildren; Zack, Tanner, Noah, Nathan, Brenna, Celsey, Quincy, and Shelby Conger, Holly & Drake Walker, Amber Sharp, Bonnie Becker and Clayton Culp; a great grandson, Sammy Sharp; 7 brothers: Dean Conger and his friend Bev, Edward (Linda) Conger, Delbert (Ruth) Conger, Jimmy (Mary Lou) Conger all of Ollie, Larry (Janet) Conger, Bobby Conger both of Linby, & Dale Conger and his friend Kat of Martinsburg; five sisters: Carolyn Skinner, Judy (Bob) Ellis, and Joyce Kospieker both of Ollie, Juanita (Eugene) Jones of Martinsburg and Arlene (Bill) Shy of Missouri, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his father: Woodrow; two brothers: Paul and Raymond Conger and two infant sisters: Linda and Darlene Conger.

Memorials may be made in his name to the family.
