Police Investigate Overnight Shooting

Oskaloosa Police responded to a reported shooting at 602 4th Avenue East on Saturday night.

Boeke says that the occupant sustained a non life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower back.

Boeke is encouraging the public to come forward with any information they may have in regards to this incident.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting at 602 4th Avenue East around 11 pm on Saturday night.

Early scanner reports stated that a woman was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police found shell casings along 4th Avenue East and the intersection of South 5th Street.

They also recovered bullets from a nearby tree and wall of the home.

Police have no comment other than the investigation is ongoing.

The condition or name of the victim is unknown at this time.
