Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Highway 92 Near Knoxville August 30

Knoxville, Iowa – It’s not everyday that an air plane makes an emergency landing on Highway 92 in Knoxville, but that is exactly what happened today [August 30, 2012]. The KPD was called to Highway 92 just west of Highway 14 in Knoxville for a report of a plane landing on the highway. When officers arrived they found a small air plane and it’s two pilots. The pilots stated that the planes engine began to fail and that after going
through their protocol they decided that they needed to land immediately. Both pilots were uninjured and that air plane appeared to have no damage.
