OSKALOOSA – Three Oskaloosa women were recognized for their outstanding volunteer service to Oskaloosa Girl Scouts at the annual meeting for Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa held in Des Moines recently.
Those recognized were Heather Sage who received the Rookie of the Year Award. Heather is a troop leader of a Daisy troop with girls in grades kindergarten through first grade. Sage received the award for her involvement in the organization, her willingness to help whenever needed, and for stepping up to lead the organization this year as Logistics
Coordinator, and to serve next year as Registrar.
Receiving the Excellence in Volunteering Award were Sandi Tucker-Stanbro and Dori Massey. Tucker-Stanbro has served as a troop leader and for the past six years as Service Unit Manager for the organization. She also works with Council as a trainer and has provided guidance on Juliette policies. Massey has served as both a leader and a co-leader in Oskaloosa and provides leadership with many community events, including chairing committees and being involved whenever possible.
