OMS Wrestlers Get Season Underway
The Osky middle school wrestling team began competition on November 10 in Knoxville. We have a mix of wrestlers that range from never having wrestled before and some wrestlers that have competed for several years. They had been working hard in practice and were anxious to get into competition. As a team we ended the night with a record of 17 matches won and 23 matches lost. Brenden Anderson, Mia Luck, Aleigha Sheets, and Will Stein all went 2-0 on our first night.
Our second competition came the very next night with Osky Middle School hosting a home meet. As a team we had a better meet, this time winning 28 matches, and losing 20. John Daughenbaugh had a big night going 3-0 in his matches. Carter Jordan, Aleigha Sheets, Kyron Smith, and Jett Stock all went 2-0 on the night.
Our third meet came the following Tuesday in Albia. Our team record for the night was 17-24. Mia luck had a great night going 3-0 which moved her overall record to 6-1. Carter Jordan had another 2-0 night.
We will get back into competition Tuesday, November 22, traveling to Fairfield.
