OMS Students Help Spread Holiday Cheer

Oskaloosa Middle School students share some holiday cheer with North Mahaska Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (photo submitted)

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Just before students and staff packed up for the holiday season, OMS students shared their musical talents.

The 8th grade choir member, led by Chris Weinreich, sang for a group of residents at the North Mahaksa Nurshing and Rehabilitation Center.

The students were thrilled to sing the bunch of traditional carols for the residents in a last minute event for the students. Residents at the facility were given sheet music, providing the opportunity for many of them to join the middle school kids in singing the carols.

Also sharing the holiday spirit with their fellow students was the student Jazz Band led by Doug Gibson. The band played during lunch time at OMS on Thursday for all the students to enjoy.

“Our kids are the best at spreading Holiday cheer!” stated Andy Hotek, OMS Principal.
