Non-Emergency Numbers To Law Center Will Be Disrupted Temporarily October 7

Mahaska County Emergency Management

A Mahaska County Emergency Management Press Release

Due to phone line repairs at the Mahaska County Law Center, all non-emergency phone circuits will be out of service Saturday, October 7, 2017, starting at 600am. This outage can range from 2-3 hours and is something that must be done to update the lines that provide our phone service. This means if you try to call any of the non-emergency phone numbers for the Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, or 911 Communications, you may not get thru. If you need assistance you can message the Mahaska County 911 Communications Facebook page, and we can assist, the direct address is https://www.facebook.com/mcema911/. You can also stop by the Mahaska County Law Center and talk to dispatch directly.

We do want to make sure everyone is aware that this outage will not affect 911 service for the county. This means if you are having a true emergency and need immediate assistance, then you can call 911 as you normally would. We ask that the 911 lines remain only for emergencies, but we do understand if you need assistance and do not have access to Facebook, or you are unable, to come to the law center.

We apologize for this inconvenience and will update Facebook and media outlets as we know more.
