NM Goes 4-1 at Own Invitational

NEW SHARON – North Mahaska hosted its invitational volleyball meet in what was a bit of a preview of the South Iowa Cedar League tournament. North Mahaska went 4-1 on the day falling to conference foe HLV 2-0. The Warhawks topped PCM 21-12, 21-11; Tri-County 21-12, 21-7; Lynnville-Sully 21-18, 21-14 and Sigourney 21-13, 21-17. HLV won 25-22, 25-20.

Sydney Andersen had a big day collecting 22 kills with 28 digs and five service aces. Regan Grewe added 16 kills, 33 digs and 12 aces. Breckyn Schilling finished with 19 kills and a block. Caitlyn Sanders doled out 36 assists with three kills and two aces. Jalayna Shipley recorded 31 digs and Abby Van Weelden earned seven kills.

North Mahaska hosts BGM Monday then will travel to Victor to take on HLV.
