Multi-Track Computer Workshops Available

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The public is invited to register for workshops offered by the William Penn University Computer Club and the Applied Computer Science Training Practicum class. Three 50-minute technology workshops will be given this Saturday, December 3 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on the William Penn University campus.

A series of four different technology tracks will be offered. The Social Media Track will be held in Penn Hall Room 114 and will cover Facebook, Skype, and Twitter while the Microsoft Track located in the Musco Technology Center Room 104 will include Access Database, Word and Publisher, and Windows MovieMaker. An Online Software Track held in the electronic classroom of the Wilcox Library will explore Prezi Presentation Manager, Wikis, and Google Apps, and the fourth technology track will focus on CyberSecurity/Protecting Your Privacy, where users can bring a personal laptop and the instructors will help choose the best security settings to fit individual needs.

The cost to attend an afternoon of three 50-minute workshops of your choice is $25. You can choose one complete track or mix and match different workshops. The funds raised will go to the William Penn Computer Club. Register by emailing Professor Judy Williams at williamsj@wmpenn.edu.
