Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Death Near Barnes City

On the morning of April 7, 2016 the Mahaska County Sheriffs Office received an emergency 911 call to the Mahaska County 911 Emergency Communications Center. Authorities responded to 1242 Yale Avenue Barnes City, Iowa 50027 for a victim who had been struck by a motor vehicle. An Autopsy has been scheduled on April 10, 2016 at the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny. No further information will be released pertaining to the investigation that is ongoing. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Mahaska County Sheriff’s will be continuing the investigation.
