Mahaska County Master Gardeners will host an opportunity to learn about the recycling efforts in Mahaska County

For decades now we’ve been creating waste and dumping it into the environment without realizing the damage it is causing to all living beings around us. Lately, efforts have begun to promote recycling. With recycling, a substantial portion of our waste can be broken down into the original elements and be used to produce new materials. By doing this, we reduces the waste we discard into the environment and conserve raw materials.

Mahaska County Master Gardeners will host an opportunity to learn about the recycling efforts in Mahaska County by hosting Recycle Midwest on Tuesday, April 12 at 7 pm.

The presentation will be at the Mahaska County Extension Office Auditorium. There is no cost to attend this program, and it is open to the public. For more information about this or other horticulture programs, calling the MCEO at 641-673-5841 or emailing Suzette Striegel, Mahaska County Extension Horticulturist at striegel@iastate.edu.
