Leiba Wins First Career Honor

Oskaloosa–Chris Leiba (Jr., Olympia, Wash., Business Management) enjoyed a tremendous season debut and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week Monday.
Leiba garnered his first career award after guiding the Statesmen to the team crown with 156 points at the Grinnell Invitational.
The junior, who qualified for outdoor nationals two years ago, picked up a pair of titles last Saturday, winning the 60-meter dash in 6.98 seconds and the 200 in 22.83 seconds.
