Lady Statesmen Out of Top 25, Still Receiving Votes at #32

William Penn Women's Athletics

Oskaloosa–The William Penn women’s golf program experienced a slight hiccup on its way to the top as it dropped a few rungs in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll today.

William Penn is now #32 with 13 points, falling seven spots since the last rating.

Most of the top 25 remains the same with Oklahoma City again #1 with 397 points and seven first-place votes. Lee (Tenn.) is still close with 392 points and four first-place votes. British Columbia is third with the final four first-place votes, while William Woods (Mo.) and Embry-Riddle (Fla.) round out the top five.

Grand View is now the top team from the MCC and from the state of Iowa at #27, while Morningside (#35) and Northwestern (T-#38) are also receiving votes.

William Penn travels to Riverside (Blue Top Ridge Golf Course) next Friday and Saturday for the MCC Championships. The tournament champion automatically qualifies for the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships in May.
