Jerald Lee Morrision, 72, of Oskaloosa, died at his home in Oskaloosa. He was born April 21, 1946, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Duane and Zola Clough Morrison.
Jerald graduated from Traer-Clutier High School in 1964. He continued his education at Marshalltown Community College and earned his diploma in Criminal Justice.
He was united in marriage to June Van Hal in Oskaloosa.
Jerald worked for Capper’s Newspaper selling advertising. He later felt called to the ministry. He was a minister at various churches in southern Iowa.
He enjoyed working in the yard and was very meticulous about how the lawn was mowed. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriner Temple.
His family includes his wife, June Morrison of Ottumwa; a daughter and her husband, Tina and Darrell Burns of Brookfield, Missouri; two step sons, Carl (& Melinda) Edwards of Oskaloosa and Glen Edwards; five grandchildren: Sebastian Morrison, Tabitha Burns, Cheyenne Burns, Brandie Gott, and Lisa Holmes; six great grandchildren; three brothers: Carl (& Connie) Morrison of Vinton, Kevan Morrison of Waterloo, and Lee (& Debbie) Morrison of Evansdale, Iowa.
Jerald was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Max, Daniel, and Larry Morrison.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Reverend Molly Goodrich officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at Pella. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday morning from 9 until service time at 10.
