Jason Buckley Algreen, age 48, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away under hospice care on July 4, 2018, in Savannah.

Jason was born on September 12, 1969, to Dick Algreen and Andrea Jones. He attended Albia schools before moving to Georgia.

Jason worked as a maintenance supervisor for several apartment buildings in Savannah.

Jason enjoyed being outdoors, walking in the timber and had a great love for dogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Jason is survived by his father, Dick (& Doris) Algreen of Albia; his mother, Andrea Algreen of Savannah, GA; a brother, Zane (& Liz) Algreen of Albia; a stepsister, Michelle (& Jeff) Jurzyk of Florida; an uncle, Bob Algreen of Texas; and a cousin, Terry (& Roland) Garner.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; a stepbrother, Mike Algreen; and an aunt, Shirley (& Frank) Kirk.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Tharp Funeral Home with Jason’s family present to greet family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with John Van Weelden officiating.
Burial will follow services at Eslinger Cemetery in rural Monroe County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to HCI Hospice or Eslinger Cemetery.
