Iowa Business Executives Join Supply Chain Management Forum

OSKALOOSA, Iowa — The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) is partnering with the Iowa State Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) to host Supply Chains in Times of Chaos. This event is open to all area businesses.

The event will begin at 8:30 am on November 15 in Oskaloosa at William Penn University in the Atkins Student Building with an open discussion on supply chain disruptions lead by Marc Schneider, Project Manager, with CIRAS. Other featured presenters will be:

Dr. Jennifer Blackhurst Professor, Business Analytics & Associate Dean of Graduate Management Programs, Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa
Dr. Scott Grawe, Robert and Jane Sturgeon Faculty Fellow in Business and Chair, Department of Supply Chain Management, Ivy College of Business, Iowa State University
Melissa Burant, Project Manager – Iowa State University CIRAS

“This event is very timely, as we discuss what businesses are facing in regards to ongoing supply chain challenges,” said Mike Ralston, ABI President. “Discussions will center around future outlook and how companies are preparing for what is ahead. In addition, we will be discussing with executives the current state of the supply chain, near-term strategies, and long-term projections.”

The programming will conclude with a luncheon and supply chain leaders panel discussion regarding the state of the supply chain, how it has impacted their businesses, and their long-term approaches to navigate the complexities of a fragile global supply chain. Panel members include Jaime Williams, Strategic Sourcing Manager, Vermeer; Samantha Van Weelden, Director of Procurement and Accounting, Ajinomoto; and Jason Davis, Purchasing Manager, Agri-Industrial Plastics Co. Mike O’Donnell, Associate Director, CIRAS, will be the moderator.
